Mirco combines a background in Chemistry and Economics from the University of Freiburg with 5 years of experience in early-stage life science venture capital. As an Investment Manager at OCCIDENT Ventures, he led investments in multiple Seed and Series A rounds across the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and medtech sectors. In this role, Mirco was a close advisor to early-stage teams, supporting them in establishing their companies, translating scientific concepts into medical products, and developing financing strategies. In addition, he built strong collaborations with leading European academic institutions and served as a venture expert for several initiatives in the startup ecosystem.

At the Translational Medicine Accelerator, Mirco is excited to apply his experience at the intersection of science, business, and innovation to support the next generation of founders.
