Acceleration stage
"I might be on to something..."
Teams during the Acceleration phase have some initial sense that their value proposition is meaningul. They have received and integrated feedback from stakeholders, understand what unmet they are addressing, and have learned to communicate coherently around basic aspects of their project. The commitment to the project deepens. These teams are competitive for grants, fellowships, pitch competitions, and similar (UZH Innovation Funding Opportunities). During this phase the TMA often works along the following areas:
- Building a competitive Target Product Profile
- Building a functional team
- De-risking, defining killer experiments and clinical trial endpoints
- Identifying experts to address specific needs (e.g. chemistry, regulatory, translational models)
- Receiving feedback from external advisors (SPARK night)
- Buidling realistic timelines, project plans and financing needs
The goal of this phase is to gain increasing external confidence in the overall project and form a spinout.
